Welcome to the
Renewable Power Exchange

The Renewable Power Exchange (RPE) brings a mix of commercial and social enterprise approaches, aiming to deliver both social and environmental impacts through its activities in the energy sector

RPE’s Directors come from community development, fair trade, social enterprise and commercial sectors, and are experienced in creating alternative supply chains to benefit people traditionally disadvantaged in the market.

Renewable Generation

RPE works in partnership with others to develop renewable energy projects.

Partnering with Community Energy Scotland and Housing Association, Castle Rock Edinvar, RPE successfully launched a wind farm in East Lothian, Scotland. RPE has also worked on other solar, wind and bio-mass projects.

RPE is currently developing a hybrid wind and solar site in Dumfries and Galloway – The Greyland Energy Park.

Energy Supply

RPE worked with a consortia of social housing providers to launch Our Power Energy Ltd – a social enterprise energy supply company – which ran for a number of years, offering affordable energy to low income consumers and benefit communities living in fuel poverty.
